Hello Chris, Thanks for your detailed response. It's interesting that you did not receive any details regarding the installation failure, since the error message that I got said that a bug report with all details about the failure was being sent. At present I am not able to boot into Ubuntu; I will try again, and if successful, run the diagnostic that you suggested.
