I have reservations about linking to the daily builds from the alpha release notes, because the alphas (and alpha release notes) are targetted for a somewhat broader audience than the dailies, and daily builds are not guaranteed to be installable at all (and in fact, often are not installable).
> As later CDs solve testing problems (not being able to boot, no xorg, etc.), That certainly doesn't follow; being bootable is one of the specific things guaranteed for the alphas that's not guaranteed for daily builds. And while a particular daily build may fix a bug of interest, each daily build is only available for download for a few days, so there are really no guarantees at all that a user will have a usable solution for a livecd problem until the next alpha. -- Hardy Alpha Release Notes have no links to daily builds https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/174886 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
