Ubuntu 18.04 is an LTS and still used by many people including me (I still have
it with cinnamon on 2 my computers), I saw

past and easy to reproduce I searched the upstream patches to solves it, I also
added another small patch that fix another crash case I had reproduced
(https://github.com/linuxmint/nemo/issues/2248), I did a patch for a SRU for
bionic (in attachment).
