In order for the Canon CanoScan Lide 400 Slim Scanner to not just be
detected, but actually scan you have to remove the ippusbxd package and
run scanimage. I do not believe this is a problem in other non-
Ubuntu/Debian derived distributions. Simply having a sufficiently recent
version of sane works. I've tested this on an originally shipping Ubuntu
20.04 ISO from a live flash drive after adding an actual user account.
