Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. >From the logs we have:
Setting up mysql-server-8.0 (8.0.22-0ubuntu0.20.04.2) ... mysqld will log errors to /var/log/mysql/error.log mysqld is running as pid 13647 Error: Unable to shut down server with process id 13647 I looked for the process id 13647 in the mysql log and I did not find it. Do you have any instance of mysql running in your system? With the provided data I cannot determine the what started this process and why it cannot be shut down. Could you provide any extra info to help us understand the problem? Since there is not enough information in your report to begin triage or to differentiate between a local configuration problem and a bug in Ubuntu, I am marking this bug as "Incomplete". We would be grateful if you would: provide a more complete description of the problem, explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem specific to your system, and then change the bug status back to "New". For local configuration issues, you can find assistance here: http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community ** Changed in: mysql-8.0 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1902484 Title: package mysql-server-8.0 8.0.22-0ubuntu0.20.04.2 failed to install/upgrade: installed mysql-server-8.0 package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-8.0/+bug/1902484/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
