I got this solved. The problem was I had gdm installed and up on the server. I removed gdm from the server, and it worked again perfectly. Can this be possible?? Would it be possible to mask gdm package and block it from installing on Edubuntu?? Because it messes up everything. BTW, would it be possible to put an advice on this, for example, on installation?
I don't know how it could get installed, it's even possible I installed it unadvertedly.
