VirtualBox v. 6.1
Open the preferences > monitor > adjust screen resolution > choose high
resolution > click apply
At this point, a new window opens. It asks if you want to accept the
changes or get rid of them.
No matter what you click, a system notification applet (such as the
calendar) will open up and be displayed and the mouse clicks do nothing.
