Amazing that this bug has affected so many, considering that bug reports
would be a small percentage of total number . . . and yet, it continues,
essentially unaddressed . . . apparently a "non-issue."  Or the
expectation is it is "acceptable" that with every update to grub, the
/etc/default/grub  will have to be re-re-re-edited . . . to fix the
bug???

The capacity of grub is to handle "multi-boot" without requiring edits .
. . and the proof of that is my OpenSUSE and Manjaro updates provide a
working grub menu . . . w/o any special handling from me.  I'm assuming
that my three ubuntu/debian based systems continue remove all other
systems from grub, with each update, as they have over the last year, by
now????  "Not a problem . . . ." ???
