Weird, as I've included all the related patches that were in
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/libfprint/libfprint/-/issues/306 (and the
test that Ben did using your prints passed).

To get some useful information, please add this

 Environment=G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=all

Under the [Service] stanza of /lib/systemd/system/fprintd.service

Then run

  journalctl --service fprint.service

And start the enrollment process again (you can use also fprintd-enroll
/ fprintd-verify from command line)
