Public bug reported: Fails to build with: fatal error: rpc/rpc.h: No such file or directory 32 | #include <rpc/rpc.h>
This is due to this file no longer being in libc6-dev, but now in a different location provided by libtirpc-dev. The configure.in has code to handle this for Fedora, which should be made to work for Ubuntu. The solution is not to check for the release, just if the rpc.h file exists. ** Affects: snort (Ubuntu) Importance: High Status: Triaged ** Tags: update-excuse ** Changed in: snort (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: snort (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1906572 Title: FTBFS on hirsute (missing rpc/rpc.h) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snort/+bug/1906572/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
