Hello Linux users!
Since I would like to use openoffice as my textwriter I came across some
problems. This message is to report these problems but also addresses to
other users if they had the same trouble and found a solution?
The problem occurs when saving to a windows-format. I found out the hard
way that other people could not open my letters when they worked on a
windows-pc with word. On my own standalone I was able to read the
letters (only the files were a lot bigger) but on other people's pc's I
couldn't.
My question is what can be done? Is it the letter-type? Which are save
letter-types to use? Who else struggled with this?
It's especially a problem with important letters like application
letters!!
