I tried "pcie_aspm=off nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0" but did not help. I'll try with "force" and "performance" policy.
I ended fed up with crashes and upgraded to a Ryzen 7 2700X, with the rest of the system unchanged. It still crashes from time to time, but it takes much more time.
