Public bug reported: After the 5.8 kernel update, my Ubuntu 20.04.1 installation stopped seeing any networks, either wireless or USB tethering from my phone. The ifconfig command only showed the loopback interface.
I rolled back to 5.4.0-59-generic, and it works fine. The offending package is linux-image-5.8.0-34-generic, version 5.8.0-34.37~20.04.2. ** Affects: linux-signed-hwe-5.8 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1910675 Title: Can't connect to ANY networks after update to kernel 5.8 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-signed-hwe-5.8/+bug/1910675/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
