Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
Evo is set up to periodically check 3 different pop3-accounts. Every time I
start evo, it claims the account(s) cannot be checked because it fails on the
login-username. On the same screen I can confirm username and password. But
when I do confirm, it keeps on showing the same screen telling me the login
failed and that I should confirm username/pw. After pressing "cancel", evo
keeps quite, and then is able to login correctly and check accounts and fetch
mail. This happens *every* time on starting up evo.
Btw: Once in a while it happens during evo is running. Again: pressing "cancel"
in the above mentioned dialogscreen solves the problem.
Though this bug is not seriously preventing me from fetching or sending mail,
it is positively quite annoying.
Thanks so far for the good work with evo!
