I can understand where you're coming from, however you misunderstand, I am NOT filing a bug on a custom kernel. I am filing a bug on make-kpkg, because it is obviously putting a restriction on my being able to build a custom kernel. I understand that building a custom kernel is unsupported, but Ubuntu's package system shouldn't stand in my way of doing so.
