Bought a brand new Raspberry Pi 4 B 8GB, and booted from SD card imaged
from,

  ubuntu-20.10-preinstalled-desktop-arm64+raspi.img

Experienced freezing on first reboot after timeout. The suggested
workaround works for me. Have since updated to,

Linux owl 5.8.0-1011-raspi #14-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT Tue Dec 15 08:53:29
UTC 2020 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux

It might be good to flag the issue in more prominent place for newbies
to RPI who are installing Ubuntu. Although I have experience with
Ubuntu, it took me a while to locate this issue and workaround.
