ubuntu-20.10-preinstalled-desktop-arm64+raspi.img Experienced freezing on first reboot after timeout. The suggested workaround works for me. Have since updated to, Linux owl 5.8.0-1011-raspi #14-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT Tue Dec 15 08:53:29 UTC 2020 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux It might be good to flag the issue in more prominent place for newbies to RPI who are installing Ubuntu.
