Public bug reported: Binary package hint: debian-installer
In the installer, there are three guided partition options: Guided partition, Guided partition with LVM, Guided partition with encryption. Guided partition with LVM is chosen. The LVM partitions are created okay and installation proceeds normally until the installer attempts to load the lvm2 package. The installer fails to read the lvm2 package from CD. The error message states that the lvm2 package is missing. The installer did not complain when verifying packages about any missing packages. I am using the current disc image from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/jeos/releases/gutsy/release/ubuntu-7.10-jeos-i386.iso on a VMware virtual x86 machine. ** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: gutsy jeos ubuntu -- [gutsy-jeos] install to LVM fails - lvm2 missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/175962 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
