Hello I am having the same problem as sergem. I am running the Gutsy Gibbon: Linux qwerzila 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Sun Oct 14 23:05:12 GMT 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
If I have my harddrive mounted while turning off the computer it shows up twice when I start it again, the harddrive would need to be turned on as I boot up. The behavior when trying to unmount is the same as described in the other comments here. I can unmount one of the icons, the other stays. When I plug it in again the second icon shows up again. It does not have any records in fstab. Unlike some of the other reports I can only register showing up one time in dmesg. The USB device is /dev/sdc, it shows up again on the bottom, but note that i unmounted, unplugged, plugged and mounted again one time after the reboot. lsusb -v follows ** Attachment added: "dmegs.sdc.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10866382/dmegs.sdc.txt -- Feisty 20070222 shows two USB icons https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/87177 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
