Isn't the update available already? On 15th Feb I see this one:

Changed in nvidia-graphics-drivers-340 (Ubuntu Focal):
status: Fix Committed → Fix Released

So few minutes ago I first made an update where a new kernel was loaded,
than restarted and tried again to install the 340 driver for my GeForce
9500 GT, but still it failed with message (translated into english):

> pk-client-error-quark: Error while installing package
"nvidea-340-script of package post-installation" sub-process responded
with error 10 (313)

System: Linux 5.8.0-38-generic #43~20.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jan 12
16:39:47 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

How long does it take usually until a patch is released or available via
the updater?
