Yes, linux-modules-extra is installed:

$ uname -r
5.8.0-36-generic

$ sudo apt install linux-modules-extra-5.8.0-36-generic 
[sudo] password for hazrpg: 
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
linux-modules-extra-5.8.0-36-generic is already the newest version 
(5.8.0-36.40~20.04.1).
linux-modules-extra-5.8.0-36-generic set to manually installed.
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
  libllvm10 libllvm10:i386 libomxil-bellagio-bin libomxil-bellagio0 
libwayland-server0:i386 linux-headers-5.4.0-62 linux-headers-5.4.0-62-generic
Use 'sudo apt autoremove' to remove them.
0 to upgrade, 0 to newly install, 0 to remove and 1 not to upgrade.

I've also tried installing it for all the others:

$ sudo apt install linux-modules-extra-5.8.0-40-generic 
linux-modules-extra-5.8.0-38-generic linux-modules-extra-5.8.0-36-generic

linux-modules-extra-5.8.0-36-generic is already the newest version
