This looks good, thanks Gunnar! On that note, acking the MIR and
promoting right now to hirsute.
To keep in sync with Debian, what I would suggest is to create alongside
<package>.symbols, a <package>.ubuntu.symbols. Then replace it at build time
(and restore it afterwards) in debian/rules, so that the right version
(upstream or ubuntu) is in place during build, making sense?
