I followed the steps here tonight to build a debdiff:

It ultimately failed because of the relationship of the "egw-pear"
package, which I don't follow understand.
The final error when I ran " sudo pbuilder build egroupware_1.4.002
.dfsg-1ubuntu1.dsc" was:
PACKAGING ERROR: directory egw-pear not found
make: *** [install] Error 1
dpkg-buildpackage: failure: fakeroot debian/rules binary gave error exit status

I don't know when I might get a chance to investigate this further, so
I'm dis-owning the ticket for now.
