Public bug reported:
During operation, clamscan updates the atime on every file that it
touches. Since Linux 2.6.8, it's possible to pass the O_NOATIME flag
when opening a file. Unfortunately, clamscan does not do this. For
example, see https://fossies.org/linux/clamav/clamscan/manager.c#l_399.
My expectation is that system software like backups and antivirus would
not update atimes.
Would Ubuntu be willing to patch this, or should I submit this bug
upstream?
