Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command only once, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 1915505 When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu- bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs. A standard install writes the whole OS to the file-system, being much faster than a package-by-package install, the minimal-install is an extra step that does as the user requested; reduces this to a minimal install by removing the packages on a list. It's designed this way as its faster for most users (and still faster than a package-by-package install for everyone). Those that want what you appear to have the option of a netboot ISO that will install only what they select. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1915505 Title: Minimal install appears to install full system, then purge much of it To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/base-installer/+bug/1915505/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
