Thanks for the bug report. It appears this machine is configured for
automatic login (which isn't working??):
[daemon]
AutomaticLoginEnable=true
AutomaticLogin=sebastian
Please try commenting out those lines from /etc/gdm3/custom.conf and
tell us if that avoids the bug.
