After running the KDE 3.5.7 upgrade (announced on kubuntu.org) today,
the "split window" feature of Konqueror is gone. As this is one of my
most-used features of Konqeror, i'm very sad about this and may just
have to cry :`(.
i suspect, but have not yet determined, that this is one of the
"simplifications" that Kubuntu enables for "normal users", but if that
is indeed the case, i can't imagine why it would remove the feature from
a system where that feature was enabled. (After installing Kubuntu 7.04
i reverted to the default Konqueror profiles, as explained in the
Kubuntu docs. The konqi profiles which Kubu ships with have several
features hidden, such as window splitting.)
