The gpp4 library provides a drop-in replacement for the non-free CCP4
libraries for macromolecular crystallography. The library is built
around a standardized set of functions that cover common tasks, such as
file opening, parsing keyworded input, reading and writing of standard
data formats, applying symmetry operations, etc. Many programs in
structural biology have dependencies that are covered by this library.
