Thanks John, that's very useful indeed. The backtrace points to a known upstream bug (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1694670), which is fixed in the upcoming firefox 87.0 (currently beta). I'll consider cherry-picking the upstream patch for an Ubuntu update.
