Public bug reported:

I had chromium installed via snap :

installed:          89.0.4389.72            (1506) 145MB -

This morning I ran chromium and got the following message

    Your account (...) is no longer allowed as the primary account.
Because this account is managed by (...), your bookmarks, history,
passwords and other settings will be cleared from this device.

and, indeed, it was all gone. Impossible to synchronize to the account.
I tried clearing ~/snap/chromium and ~/.config/chromium, but still could
not restart synchronization.

Then I tried reverting :

$ snap revert chromium
chromium revenu à 88.0.4324.182

and things went working again : I can login to the account and the
bookmarks/history/etc. are synced again.

I'm running Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS
