I repeated #5 a few times without issue, including to different archive.test2.tar.gz & different source files... without issue??
rebooted the live session so a new environment again and tried again.. no issues??? you I can no-longer create issue in comment #5 so maybe my steps are incomplete, or something is missing sorry.
