Whenever in doubt of skylake-hda_dsp configuration, please see: Linux: HDA+DMIC with skylake driver https://gist.github.com/crojewsk/4e6382bfb0dbfaaf60513174211f29cb SND_SOC_INTEL_SKYLAKE_HDAUDIO_CODEC kconfig needs to be enabled for 'Skylake with HDAudio DSP + DMIC' configuration to work. Also, topology file is needed in /lib/firmware/. Linked gist should clarify these.
