Public bug reported: While stuck "long enough" to formally not needing an FFe or such:
iperf (2.0.13+dfsg1-1build1 to 2.0.14a+dfsg1-1) Migration status for iperf (2.0.13+dfsg1-1build1 to 2.0.14a+dfsg1-1): BLOCKED: Rejected/violates migration policy/introduces a regression Issues preventing migration: autopkgtest for openvswitch/2.15.0-0ubuntu1: s390x: Regression ♻ autopkgtest for openvswitch/2.15.0~git20210104.def6eb1ea-0ubuntu3: amd64: Regression ♻ , arm64: Regression ♻ , ppc64el: Regression ♻ Additional info: 139 days old This brings real new test regressions, e.g. https://github.com/mininet/mininet/issues/1060 which I filed upstream. Iperf is used quite often in all kind of test suites and I'd be afraid to somehow have/force migrating this late into Hirsute to then trigger test issues in many place around the world. Also 2.0.14a isn't a real release as upstream used it as an alpha for the 2.1 release. The release notes jump over it, and 2.1 clearly is a major change that we' not want that late in Hirsute: - https://sourceforge.net/p/iperf2/code/ci/master/tree/doc/RELEASE_NOTES - https://sourceforge.net/projects/iperf2/files/Iperf%202.0.14%20New%20Features.pdf/download - https://sourceforge.net/projects/iperf2/files/Iperf%202.0.14%20Enhancements.pdf/download Sticking to the 2.0.13+dfsg1-1build1 that we have atm should be the lower fallout-risk for now. Therefore I wanted to ask to remove the current one from hirsute-proposed. Note: Strictly speaking this is held back by test fails atm, but there is no guarantee that someone else looks at it and e.g. does a badtest hint which would make it migrate. Hence I'd think removing it would be safer and further clear hirsute-proposed from bad cases. ** Affects: iperf (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: update-excuse ** Tags added: update-excuse ** Summary changed: - please remove iperf 2.0.14a+dfsg1 fom hirsute-proposed + [REMOVE] please remove iperf 2.0.14a+dfsg1 fom hirsute-proposed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1919432 Title: [REMOVE] please remove iperf 2.0.14a+dfsg1 fom hirsute-proposed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/iperf/+bug/1919432/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
