I noticed in GParted, that the fat32 EFI partition has a red circle with an exclamation. Info says: WARNING: unable to read the contents of this file system! Because of this some operations may be unavailable. The cause might be a missing software package. The following list of software packages is required for fat32 file system support: dosfstools, mtools.
Are the packages dosfstools and mtools available on the LIVE USB ? and if yes, are they available to the installer on the LIVE USB? According to my bug report 1920255, entering these commands in a terminal window results in an error: command can not be found.
