Public bug reported: When I upgraded MS Teams in Ubuntu 20.10 to version teams_1.4.00.4855_amd64.deb, it was not possible anymore to join MS Teams call.
It seems that join the call window doesn't open automatically in teams_1.4.00.4855. If you are able to find some other means to join the call (e.g. joining the call via chat window), you can join the call, otherwise there is no way for you to join the call. Steps to reproduce (Ubuntu 20.10, MS Teams 1.4.00.4855): * click on the MS teams link in email, * MS Teams main program window opens, * MS Teams call window doesn't open (the one where you choose sound=yes/no, etc.); It is not possible to join the call, because call is not displayed in MS teams main window (containing history of calls). Possible workarounds: I. Workaround 1 (works for teams 1.4.00.4855): * if someone else joined the call, he can enter some text to chat, * when you open link for the call, entered chat is visible in the list of meetings, * open chat for the call in the main window and select Join, * user is joined to the call; II. Workaround 2 (downgrade to latest 1.3.x version): * uninstall teams_1.4.00.4855, * install teams teams_1.3.00.30857_amd64.deb (https://packages.microsoft.com/repos/ms-teams/pool/main/t/teams/), * click on the MS teams link in email, * MS Teams main program window opens, * MS Teams call window WILL open (the one where you choose sound=yes/no, etc.), * select Join the call; ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1920807 Title: MS teams doesn't open call window when clicked on link To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1920807/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
