i stopped all startup programs via session manager, undid some folders i rooted in home, disabled firewall, changed themes, & tried it in the user root, user root is fine, :( and not that I can tell no nothing in the /var/log/xorg.conf file i think.. u can close this bug then if it's not happening on ur end in Gutsy :sigh: it must be only my end... i'm uploading a copy of the xorg.log anyway just in case..
