Public bug reported:

When using the Chromium snap, navigator.serial is unable to detect any
serial device.

Steps to reproduce:

1) open Chromium;
2) open the console;
3) run the following code in the console:
port = await navigator.serial.requestPort({});
4) Notice how no serial devices appear (on my computer, all the ttyS and ttyUSB
devices appeared on Google Chrome deb).

It was noticed that an errir message appears on the terminal when the command
is used on Chromium:
[37343:37576:0323/120756.847197:ERROR:udev_watcher.cc(97)] Failed to begin udev
enumeration.
