Unfortunately, the amount of information in the logs is not enough to
diagnose the problem. The only strange thing is this part:
mysqld will log errors to /var/log/mysql/error.log
mysqld is running as pid 36266
Error: Unable to shut down server with process id 36266
dpkg: error processing package mysql-server-8.0 (--configure):
installed mysql-server-8.0 package post-installation script subprocess
returned error exit status 1
There is nothing really wrong in the mysql error log, from what I can
see.
I could mark this bug as Incomplete, but it actually looks like a
duplicate of #1876900, so I'm marking it as such. Feel free to reopen
it if you consider this is a different issue.
