Sorry, I worded that poorly.  When setting up a computer, there's the 20
or so things you apt-get install to get what you consider a "usable"
environment.  Firefox was one of those: I just used run-of-the-mill
"apt-get install" and don't remember if it installed it new or not
(probably not, as like you said, it's already there).
