I noticed this issue with Kubuntu (Plasma) host and Ubuntu (GNOME) guest. I thought I was the only one affected since this makes almost impossible to use VMs with GUI (desktop). Not that you wouldn't be able to run them but that you realize that you use Ctrl+c/Ctrl+v so often that when it doesn't work 100% it sooo bad experience that you rather not to use VMs at all. And VirtualBox is not an answer ;-).
Btw. Windows 10 guest is all right.
