well someone from the original thread submitted the bug to Alsa, and it has been assigned. So hopefully within a few releases we should see it corrected. It just seems as though no particular available model configuration have been ocoded into alsa for these newer boards. There is a kind of workaround using one of the LG model options but its only a partial fix ..
