I recently upgraded my nagios server to Focal and nagios4 (4.3.4-3).
After I upgraded one of my DB servers to Focal, nagios-nrpe-server
(4.0.0-2ubuntu1) stopped working for check_postgres.pl plugin checks
when it is started via systemd. I consistently get "NRPE: Unable to read
output". However, if I manually start nrpe via command line and specify
-d or -f for the mode, the postgres checks from the server work
properly. When nrpe is started via init.d or systemd, either with -d or
-f, the checks fail. The checks still work properly on another DB server
that is still running Xenial.
