Public bug reported:
Request for enhancement:
as a technically minded person, I find the package titles displayed sometimes
confusing. For example, right now four items are identically named "Manage
release upgrades".
I would find it convenient to have an option to switch the displayed
names in tree view to the technical package name, so that e.g. instead
of "Software Updater" it displays "update-manager".
I am well aware of the fact that by expanding the "Technical
description" part of the window, I can already look up each package name
in turn.
You are welcome to not change the expandable section headings, since
e.g. "Ubuntu base" is a conceptual name rather than a package name, as
far as I am aware.
In my opinion, such a switch could suitably be placed as a checkbox in
the Settings tab "Developer options".
** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
