Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Ubuntu 16.04 (xenial) reached end-of-life on April 29, 2021.

But if you are then please upgrade to the latest Ubuntu version and re-test. If you then find the bug is still present in the newer Ubuntu version, please add a comment here telling us which new version it is in. You've filed the bug against `ubuntu-release-upgrader` ; the tool which would upgrade your 16.04/xenial system to 18.04/bionic. If your system was just installed 10 days ago, I'd recommend installing with supported media (particularly Ubuntu 20.04 LTS).
