Ubuntu 7.10.
History :
Changing graphics card (System>Administration>Screens and Graphics) to 'nv'
failed. Screen model was reset to 'Plug n Play'.
Issue :
( In System>Administration>Screens and Graphics )
Tick 'Widscreen'
Change Model to LCD Panel 1600*1050
Change Resolution to 1600*1050
Press Test
- Test works
Press OK
- Resolution still 1600*1050
- No window pops up advising the need to log out to see the change.
Log Out
Log In screen still at 640*480
Log In
Gnome still running at 640*480
