Looks like I may have this problem as well. Everything is perfect until login then it hangs without the desktop appearing (no, I haven't waited 20mins :)). At first I thought it was yakuaki causing it as that would autostart with nothing else but having uninstalled that yesterday it is actually worse now. Today I had to hard restart three times to get to the desktop. I am unable to switch to a different session (ctrl + alt + f2).
