There is also a problem with the man page, which says: --second-stage Complete the bootstrapping process. Other arguments are generally not needed.
To "complete the bootstrapping process" is vague. Naturally everyone wants to complete the bootstrapping process. But according to https://www.debian.org/releases/bullseye/arm64/apds03.en.html, the --second-stage is *only* for situations where the installation host and the target host have different architectures. The man page needs to be more clear. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1929239 Title: debootstrap documentation bug To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debootstrap/+bug/1929239/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
