Hi, I have a Samsung galaxy book and encounter the same problem with my ALC298 sound card. I tried everything you did but it didn't work with mine. In fact I even cannot hear something with the earphones. I also tried to check the verbs used under windows (throught qemu) and it seems they are quite different. Unfortunately even when i try to set these verbs it doesn't work... I tried to send to you an email @gannon1 / @Mike pozulp but I'm not sure you received it.
If someone can help me trying to solve this problem it would be so good!
