Public bug reported:

The Lubuntu update notifier is a damned annoyance, keeps you from
working, spoils your work, and completely unsuitable for professional
work.

Every hour or so it opens up a requester in the middle of a screen,
reminding for software update, even if you just did an update, once
there is any new package found.

Even if you update then, it keeps opening requesters, that a reboot
would be required because of some kernel upgrade.

When you are in a video conference, or producing some video where you
take the HDMI output of a Lubuntu machine, it keeps continously spoiling
your work by continuously disturbing. It just doesn't let your work for
an hour, and expects you to reboot at any time.

Not possible to just work for an hour, e.g. give a talk, show a video or
work without a hand free to press the button.

That's script kiddy stuff, but not usable for professional work.

Sorry, but that's rubbish.
