I got it working Ubuntu 21.04 hirsute default version 1.2.4-2ubuntu1 of package alsa-ucm-conf does not work. the latest 1.2.5 version "git clone https://github.com/alsa-project/alsa-ucm-conf.git"; There is a new syntax introduced in upstream alsa-ucm-conf.
Exactly with this version of alsa-ucm-conf works only https://github.com/alsa-project/alsa-ucm-conf/archive/548036b8ecc92d4e8e2070046551fb0b8acb7d96.zip just before new syntax is introduced.
