I tried to re-create the scenario that causes it to crash but have been
unsuccessful so far. It crashed a few minutes back. Even now I am not
too sure what exactly causes it to crash. So far what I have seen is
that (i.e. after the re-install) the crashes have happened after I
resume the system from sleep / suspend and login and start doing
something. Still not been able to replicate this exactly though. I wish
there was some way we could capture more logging. Keep a USB drive
mounted and use that for /var/log?

I am going to go ahead and install the updated kernel now.
